Cabarrus Youth Development Center Employee Arrested After Assaulting Juvenile

CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. – A staff member at the Cabarrus Youth Development Center is facing charges after allegedly strangling a juvenile.

The sheriff’s office charged Dana Lassiter, 33, with assault by strangulation. They say the assault happened on Wednesday, February 7th at Stonewall Jackson Youth Development Center.

Lassiter has been employed at the facility since 2017. He is being held on a $5,000 bond.
