Two Sent To Hospital With Life-Threatening Injuries In Southeast Charlotte Shooting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Two people were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries following a shooting in southeast Charlotte Thursday night, according to MEDIC.

It happened on Billingsley Road near North Wendover Road at 6:53 p.m.

MEDIC said two patients suffered gunshot wounds and were transported to Novant Presbyterian with life-threatening injuries.

Minutes earlier at 6:50 p.m., police received a call about shots fired into an occupied dwelling one street over on Jonquil Street, according to officials. Officers say they found multiple shell casings in the area. The victim was transported by MEDIC to a local hospital.

Authorities say they believe these two incidents are related.
