One Dead, Two Injured In Spartanburg Crash

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – One person died and two others were sent a hospital following a fatal car crash on Saturday night in Spartanburg County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

It happened around 7:23 p.m. on Saturday, February 10th at the intersection of East Blackstock Road and Red Canyon Drive.

Police say a 2011 Nissan sedan was traveling on Red Canyon Drive and attempted to turn west onto East Blackstock Road. The driver collided with a 2013 BMW SUV traveling north on East Blackstock Road.

A passenger in the Nissan vehicle died as a result of the crash.

Both drivers were taken to a local hospital for their injuries. The severity of their injuries is unclear at this time.

The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
