CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, S.C. — Investigators say three former Chesterfield County deputies were charged with making hoax 911 calls while on-duty. The deputies, who are no longer employed with department, have been identified as:
- 28-year-old First Sgt. Justin Reichard
- 25-year-old Sgt. Darien Roseau
- 26-year-old Deputy Killian Loflin
All three were charged with misconduct in office, criminal conspiracy, and aggravated breach of peace, according to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.
Warrants claim the deputies called in hoax emergencies in Cheraw, Chesterfield, McBee, and Pageland. Officials say each call was made into convenience stores or law enforcement agencies. Investigators say the 911 callers told dispatchers they knew the location of a dead body.
Each call led to emergency responses from local law enforcement. SLED investigated the incidents and were able to determine each were prank calls.
