Hickory Man Sentenced To 10-Plus Years For Cocaine Trafficking

HICKORY, N.C. – A Hickory man was sentenced to over 10 years in prison for distributing a large amount of cocaine.

Dante Rashaun Ramseur, 44, will serve 121 months along with six years of supervised release. Ramseur allegedly intimidated an associate involved with the case and received a larger sentence than usual.

Ramseur sold cocaine to undercover agents on multiple occasions between September 2022 and January 2023. Some of the drug exchanges happened within 1,000 feet of a school.

He was arrested in February of 2023 after attempting to sell over six kilograms of cocaine to the undercover officers.

Ramseur obtained the cocaine from his co-conspirators, Holly Christine Furlough, 31 and Carlos Hernandez Landeiro, 33, according to documents.

Furlough and Landeiro have each pleaded guilty. Their sentence dates have not been set at this time.
