Hickory Man Sentenced To 10-Plus Years For Cocaine Trafficking
HICKORY, N.C. – A Hickory man was sentenced to over 10 years in prison for distributing a large amount of cocaine.
Dante Rashaun Ramseur, 44, will serve 121 months along with six years of supervised release. Ramseur allegedly intimidated an associate involved with the case and received a larger sentence than usual.
Ramseur sold cocaine to undercover agents on multiple occasions between September 2022 and January 2023. Some of the drug exchanges happened within 1,000 feet of a school.
He was arrested in February of 2023 after attempting to sell over six kilograms of cocaine to the undercover officers.
Ramseur obtained the cocaine from his co-conspirators, Holly Christine Furlough, 31 and Carlos Hernandez Landeiro, 33, according to documents.
Furlough and Landeiro have each pleaded guilty. Their sentence dates have not been set at this time.
