Deputies: Elementary School Teacher Arrested For Sexual Exploitation Of A Minor

SHELBY, N.C. – The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office has arrested an elementary school teacher on three charges of sexual exploitation of a minor, according to a news release.

The Sheriff’s Office said they began an investigation after being made aware of disturbing information revealed on a dating site by another citizen. The investigation revealed Anthony Neal, 36, was a local elementary school teacher and the school was notified of the situation, as said by the deputies.

Neal was suspended that day after a search warrant of his residence led to several seized electronic devices and the release states images and videos of minor children involved in sex acts were revealed on the devices.

The release further states the images and videos were not of any children in the Cleveland County School System or of anyone local. Neal was charged with first degree sex exploitation of a minor, second degree sex exploitation of a minor and third degree sex exploitation of a minor.

This investigation is ongoing.
