Suspect Arrested For Attempted Murder In Gaston County

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. – A suspect that has been wanted for several months for attempted first-degree murder was arrested Wednesday, the Gaston County Police Department announced.

Benjamin Drake Green was wanted in York County for an attempted first-degree murder warrant. He was arrested without incident near Doc Wehunt Road near Cherryville, North Carolina.

Green was considered armed and dangerous and was able to evade law enforcement for months, police said.

Green is being held at the Gaston County Jail and will be extradited back to South Carolina at a later date.
