AAA: Gas Prices Expected To Rise

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Drivers may have noticed a rise in gas prices in recent weeks. Gas prices are up in the Charlotte area with regular averaging $3.14 per gallon, which is up 18 cents from last week. 

Statewide average is slightly higher at $3.15 per gallon. South Carolina, as always, is a little less at $3.04 but that number is up 12 cents from last week.

AAA says upcoming seasonal demand, higher crude oil prices, and the attacks on oil tankers and the Red Sea combined for this increase.
