GASTONIA, N.C. – Police are investigating an armed robbery after a person was shot at a Gastonia restaurant on Sunday.
Authorities say two unknown suspects broke into the China City restaurant as they were closing. It was reported that the two suspects entered from the entrance of the restaurant.
Detectives say they herded employees into the main dining area and proceeded to empty the cash register, according to a news.
During the incident, police say one of the owners of the restaurant was shot. He was transported and recovering at a Charlotte hospital.
The suspects got away with an undisclosed amount of money. No arrests have been made.
