Two People Identified After Police Say They Crashed A Stolen Vehicle

YORK COUNTY – Officials with the York County Coroners Office identified two people after they allegedly crashed a stolen vehicle Saturday evening.

An investigation ensued following a car crash on Rambo road. According to a news release, Rock Hill resident, Michael Jonas drove off the road and struck a tree.

Jonas was transported to Atrium in Charlotte where was later pronounced dead.

Additionally, the passenger, 21-year-old Justin Villanueva of Charlotte was pronounced dead at the scene.

South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Coroner’s Office continue to investigate the incident.

Autopsy and toxicology are pending.
