CHARLOTTE, N.C. โ The Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) issued a warrant for the arrest of a detention officer in connection with a domestic violence incident.
Detention Officer Noel Richardson was taken into custody by MCSO deputies.
Richardson’s employment with MCSO began December 1st 2021, and he was terminated February 20th, 2024.
โI am disappointed that I find myself in the position where I have to terminate an officer following their involvement in a domestic violence matter,โ said Sheriff McFadden. โAt MCSO, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of conduct, and any behavior that violates the trust placed in us cannot be tolerated.โ
