CHERAW, S.C. – A former police officer in Cheraw County was charged with first-degree sexual extortion and misconduct in the office, according to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.
Justin Brian McKenzie, 40, was taken into custody on Thursday, February 22nd.
The crimes took place between February 2nd and 7th.
McKenzie is accused of concealing his identity and threatening to upload explicit images of the victim on social media. Documents said that the victim provided McKenzie with additional sexually explicit images and videos in fear of the original photos being posted online.
McKenzie has been booked into the Chesterfield County Detention Center.
