Mooresville Man Arrested On Child Pornography Charges

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – A 34-year-old man from Mooresville was charged with 18 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor after turning himself in to authorities on Wednesday.

Jonathan Neubauer-Rivera turned himself in at the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office in Charlotte. He has been charged with the following:

  • Five counts of Second-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, Felony
  • 13 counts of Third-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a minor, Felony

The Mooresville Police Department received a tip back in December about an individual allegedly possessing and distributing child pornography. 

Officers started an investigation and conducted a search warrant at a Mooresville home on Butler Drive on Saturday, December 23rd.

Authorities said they seized multiple electronic devices that contained evidence of Neubauer-Rivera possessing and distributing child pornography.

Neubauer-Rivera is being held at the Mecklenburg County Detention Center with a $100,000 bond.
