CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A 15-year-old juvenile, that was arrested 13 times in 2023, was taken into custody again on Thursday night for allegedly stealing a motor vehicle.
The juvenile was charged with the following:
- Three Counts of Attempted Larceny of a Motor Vehicle
- Larceny of Motor Vehicle
- Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle
- Resist, Delay, Obstruct
The juvenile allegedly used a popular social media method to break the window of a 2019 Hyundai Sonata and steal it from a North Graham Street parking lot.
Police located the stolen vehicle and attempted to make a traffic stop. The juvenile allegedly ditched the vehicle and ran into the woods. The juvenile was arrested near Booker Avenue just after 10 p.m.
Police said this same juvenile was arrested 13 total times in 2023, five of crimes were related to stolen vehicles.
