LEXINGTON, S.C. –The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a crash on Saturday night that killed a pedestrian.
The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Cherokee Road near Maxie Road on Saturday, February 25th near Lexington, South Carolina.
Police say a driver operating a 2020 Kia Forte was traveling east on Cherokee Road. The driver veered off the right side of the road and struck the pedestrian heading west.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of the crash.
