Arrests Made For Sporting Arms Robbery On South Boulevard

CONCORD, N.C. – Four suspects were arrested in relation to a firearm story robbery that occurred at 4 a.m. on February 20, 2024, where 20 firearms were reported stolen, according to CMPD.

CMPD stated on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the suspects used a stolen Hyundai to break through the front door in the robbery and detectives found the suspect vehicle later in the morning.

After a brief pursuit, four subjects jumped and ran from the vehicle, resulting in all of their arrests and being charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, as said in the post by CMPD. The post also says the subjects were an 18-year-old girl, a 17-year-old girl and two 15-year-old boys.

After further investigation, CMPD say they determined that more suspects were involved in the burglary and resulted in three more arrests through a search warrant.

The suspects and charges are:

Juvenile, 17: larceny of a firearm and breaking and entering.

Reginald Moss, 20: possession of a stolen firearm, larceny of a firearm, breaking and entering, conspiracy to commit breaking and entering and larceny of motor vehicle.

Cori Meadows, 18: possession of a stolen firearm and possession of marijuana.

Devonta Merriman, 18: possession of a stolen firearm and possession of marijuana.

Alaja McKinney, 18: possession of a stolen vehicle.

Moses and Meadows were charged in a murder case after a shooting in July of 2023 that left one South Mecklenburg High School student dead.

Moses and Meadows were out of jail in December of 2023.

The District Attorneys Office decided at the beginning of this month to drop the charges against both teens, saying there was not enough substantial evidence to prove whether it was murder or self defense.
