CATAWBA COUNTY – A Catawba County bus driver assigned to Claremont Elementary has been suspended after an alleged assault on Wednesday, February 28th.
Catawba County officials released the following statement:
“In line with our commitment to the safety and well-being of our students, and pending the outcome of the investigation, the employee in question has been suspended with pay. We are taking this matter very seriously and are fully cooperating with the law enforcement authorities as they conduct their investigation. The safety of our students is our highest priority, and we are dedicated to ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all our students and staff. We will continue to closely monitor this situation and provide updates as necessary.”
