One Dead In Single-Vehicle Crash In Union County

UNION COUNTY, S.C. – One person died in a single-vehicle crash in Union County, South Carolina early Sunday morning, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

It happened around 3:16 a.m. on SC 215 near Spring Street.

Police said a driver, operating a 2004 Lexus sedan, was traveling south on SC 215. The driver traveled off the left side of the road, lost control of the vehicle and struck an embankment.

The driver died as a result of the crash and was the sole occupant. It is unclear if speed or alcohol was involved.

This crash is still under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
