It is Severe Weather Preparedness Week in the Carolinas and part of staying prepared is knowing where to go in the event a tornado strikes.
On Wednesday, March 6th there will be statewide Tornado Drills. In South Carolina, the tornado drill will take place at 9 AM and in North Carolina at 9:30 AM.
This drill will activate NOAA Weather Radios and the Emergency Alert Systems. There will NOT be an actual Tornado Warning issued at this time.
Businesses, schools and families are encouraged to participate during this time.
