VIDEO: Train Slams Into Semi Truck Stuck On Tracks In West Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C — Unbelievable video shows the moment a train slams into a semi truck that was stuck on railroad tracks in west Charlotte.

A tractor trailer became stuck on the train tracks near 8600 block Old Dowd Rd. A Norfolk Southern train collided with the truck. No injuries to the truck driver or train conductor. The accident happened around 2:30pm on Old Dowd Road near Walks Cove Trail. Officials with the Charlotte Fire Department say the train was operated by Norfolk Southern.

No injuries were reported to the truck driver or the train conductor. The truck was reportedly carrying steel beams.

This section of Old Dowd Road will be closed until further notice.
