The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Shemar Hayes. CMPD is requesting anyone with doorbell camera footage or other vidoe surveillance near the crime scene to contact 704-432-TIPS and ask to speak with Detective Akers.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Detectives with the Homicide Unit of CMPD are investigating a homicide that occurred on 11600 Red Hickory Lane in Steele Creek, according to police.
Police say that one man has been pronounced dead, but no further details are available.
