MORGANTON, N.C. – The Morganton Department of Public Safety are investigating a burglary and is searching for a suspect, according to a news release.
The release states that on March 12, 2024, MDPS responded to a report of a burglary with a weapon involved. The release further says that two occupants of the residence were forced outside while the suspect held a third victim hostage.
After a swat team, drone operators and a negotiation team arrived, the victim exited the residence, as said by MDPS.
The police say they have identified Vincent Ervin as a suspect and is seeking help in locating him.
