WeatherWise Alert Friday:
Showers and Storms
Isolated severe threat, damaging wind = biggest concern
Discussion:
Temps will remain pleasant and spring-like through the weekend. Highs will reach the mid 70s today and near 80 degrees tomorrow. A cold front will approach the area Friday with moisture building into the region Thursday evening. We will need to watch for a cluster of storms that could make a pass at the area Friday morning, but most of the rain and potential storms will arrive Friday afternoon and evening. Severe threat is low, but if any stronger storms do develop damaging wind gusts would be the primary threat. This front will stall which could lead to spotty showers Saturday. Temps will remain above average in the mid 70s. A reinforcing cold front will bring more rain to the area Sunday with much colder temps filtering in next week. Highs won’t get out of the 50s Tuesday.
