One Dead, Two Injured In South Carolina Crash

UNION, S.C. – Authorities are investigating a fatal head-on collision in South Carolina that left the passenger of a Toyota dead on Saturday evening.

Officers responded to the collision shortly after 4:10 p.m. near the intersection of SC Highway 9 and Kelly Road.

When officers arrived, they found a 2006 Toyota sedan and a 2019 Chevrolet pick-up truck in the roadway.

The Toyota driver was transported to Spartanburg Regional Hospital for their injuries. The passenger of the vehicle died at the scene as a result of their injuries, according to a news release.

The Chevrolet driver was also taken to Spartanburg Regional Hospital for their injuries.

Police did not say the contributing factors that caused the crash.

The investigation into this collision is active and ongoing.
