CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Police have shut down a road in northeast Charlotte after a pedestrian was fatally struck by a train on Sunday afternoon.
Officials say the pedestrian was struck near the intersection of Old Concord Road and McLean Road.
The collision happened around 2 p.m.
The intersection at Old Concord Road and W.T. Harris Boulevard is closed at this time. Drivers are asked to avoid this area and take alternate routes.
