Police: Kannapolis School Teacher Charged With Sex Crimes

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – A former A.L. Brown High School faculty member has been charged with various sex crimes involving a child, according to a news release.

The release states that on March 18, the Kannapolis Police Department received information that the former teacher, Jordan Correll, was having inappropriate communication with a 15-year-old student.

After further investigation, police say they confirmed that there was inappropriate communication between Correll and the student, as well engaging in sexual activity.

Correll has been charged with indecent liberties with a student, four counts of indecent liberties with a child and two counts statutory sex offense with a child less than or equal to 15 years of age, as said in the release.
