Original Story

MORGANTON, N.C. – A man was arrested after impersonating a firefighter and refusing to vacate a property during a structure fire, according to a news release.

The release states that the Morganton Department of Public Safety responded to a structure fire and found a neighbor, Christopher Miglino, in FDNY gear attempting to put out the fire with a garden hose. Miglino refused to vacate the property or allow the Morganton Firefighters to begin fireground operations after attempting to take over suppression efforts, as said in the release.

This resulted in law units taking Miglino into custody after multiple commands and charged him with resist, delay, obstruct public officer, impersonating a firefighter/medical personnel and city ordinance violation (obedience to fire personnel).
