Suspect In Albemarle Shooting Turns Himself In

Pemberton turned himself in to the magistrate’s office in Albermarle at 3:40 on April 1, 2024, according to officials.

ALBEMARLE, N.C. – The Albemarle Police Department is searching for Larry Pemberton as a suspect in relation to a reported shooting, according to a news release.

The release states that the police responded to a shooting on Arey Avenue on March 31, 2024 and found a man with a gunshot wound and transported him to a hospital where he is in stable condition.

After an investigation, police say they identified Pemberton, 40, as a suspect and charged him with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and discharging a firearm within city limits.

Pemberton was last seen operating a red 2022 Dodge Charger SXT with a license plate KHX-9994. Anyone with information related to the whereabouts of Pemberton should contact the Albermarle Police Department at 704-984-9500.
