Discussion:
We are starting off the month of April with well above average temperatures. Temps will once again soarΒ into the low 80s this afternoon with high pressure situated in the south east. A boundaryΒ is stalled north of the region keeping temps warm during the day and mild overnight with lows only falling into the 50s and 60s. Tuesday will once again be warm with highs near 80, but clouds will fill in through the day as a cold front approaches the area. Timing of this front is everything as it begins to move through the area late evening through early morning Wednesday. This will limit the severe threat although a few storms could be capable of producing damaging wind and hail. Once this front passes, expect temps to drop significantly. Thursday’s highs will struggle to break out of the low 60s with ovenright lows falling into the 30s. Temps will slowly warm through the weekend with highs reaching the upper 60s by Sunday.
