A powerful earthquake struck Taiwan on Tuesday (ET). According to USGS, the earthquake measured at a magnitude 7.4. This massive quake was followed by several strong aftershocks.
This is the strongest earthquake to hit the island in 25 years.
The quake hit just before 8 am Wednesday local time. There are reports of major damage with people trapped in collapsed buildings.
