Police: Three Arrested For Illicit Activities At Local Business

STATESVILLE, N.C. – The Statesville Police Department has said they have arrested three individuals involved in soliciting prostitution at Breeze Spa, located at 226 Signal Drive.

An investigation began in October 2023 into suspected illicit activities at Breeze Spa after numerous complaints of inappropriate touching and solicitation of sexual acts during massages, according to a news release. The release states that undercover investigators were deployed multiple times at Breeze Spa and each time were offered sexual services in exchange for money.

The investigation also revealed that the manager of Breeze Spa operated another spa in Monroe, A-1 Spa, and similar activities were discovered, as said in the release.

Police say that on March 28, 2024, they arrested three individuals related to the investigation. Mei Qun Hun, 54, identified as the manager, was charged with felony promotion of prostitution and unlicensed massage therapy. Juhua Wan, 46, was charged with solicitation of prostitution and unlicensed message therapy. Hong Du, 60, was charged for practicing massage therapy without a license.
