Pedestrian Hit And Killed By Vehicle In Salisbury

SALISBURY, N.C. – Police are investigating a fatal vehicle accident after a pedestrian was struck and killed in Salisbury on Thursday morning.

It happened around 4:30 a.m. in the 800 block of West Jake Alexander Boulevard.

Police identified the victim as 42-year-old Michael House.

When officers arrived at the scene, they located House lying in the road. Police said first responders attempted life-saving measures but pronounced House dead at the scene.

Police said their initial investigation indicates that House was attempting to cross the street when he was hit. Officials did not say if he was in a crosswalk or not.

This accident remains under investigation by the Salisbury Police Department.
