Pursuit Church Pastor Terminated For Sexual Misconduct

DENVER, N.C. – The lead pastor at Pursuit Church in Denver, North Carolina was terminated earlier this week for alleged sexual misconduct.

Leadership announced in a Facebook post that Pastor Jordan Green had been fired effective April 1st.

Officials posted a statement to the church’s website detailing Green’s workplace violations of sexual harassment. 

The statement said Green partially confessed to sexually assaulting two church leaders. However, leadership said that his confessions weren’t truthful, and he manipulated the events to fit narratives he wanted to control. 

Other staff members came forward later to share their personal stories of being harmed by the pastor.

The staff said Green will no longer be allowed on any church or school property owned by Pursuit.

Leaders added they plan to discuss the firing with the congregation during the next Sunday service.

It is unclear if criminal charges will be filed.
