Discussion:

A cold front is approaching the area today and will bring rain and a few storms tonight into Thursday. Showers will taper off this morning with patchy fog possible through the morning commute. Most of the day will be quiet and cloudy with highs reaching the mid 70s. Showers will begin tonight with a few storms possible through the early afternoon ahead of the cold front. Severe threat is low, but not completely zero. We’re lacking instability, but a few storms could produce damaging wind gusts and heavy rain leading to localized flooding. Rainfall totals will range from .5″ to 1.5″. Winds will pick up post cold front Thursday with gusts 40-50 mph possible through Friday. Sunny skies will prevail wiht temps only reaching the upper 60s Friday. Temps will warm this weekend with highs in the mid 70s Saturday and low to mid 80s by Sunday. Little to no rain chances after Thursday through early next week.
