CMPD Investigating Two Isolated Homicides

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating two separate shootings Friday night that each left one person dead.

The shootings were reported within two hours of each other.

The first happened around 6:40 p.m. at a home on Boswell Road in east Charlotte. Police said they found a man with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene by MEDIC, officials said.

Around 9 p.m., officers responded to another shooting at an apartment complex on Pinehurst Park Drive near Providence Road. A male victim sustained a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene by MEDIC.

The victims have not been identified as of now. No suspect information is available at this time.

The investigations into each shooting are ongoing.
