Charlotte FC Supporter Group Blue Furia’s President Assaulted After Game

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte FC supporter group is calling for the soccer organization to take action after its president was assaulted after Saturday’s game.

Blue Furia’s president Juliana Gregory was assault by five unknown women, according to a police report around 10:30pm on South Cedar Street following Charlotte FC’s victory over Toronto FC in Uptown Charlotte.

Blue Furia posted the following statement on Instagram accusing members of another Charlotte FC supporter group, Carolina Hooliganz, for committing the act of violence:

After the last night’s match, our Blue Furia president “Juliana Gregory”, suffered a targeted agravated (sic) assault while leaving the Bank of America Stadium. She was ambushed by multiple members of Carolina Hooliganz.

Blue Furia’s main mission is to support the team and our community. Unfortunately after this coward act of criminal violence, we cannot continue to do that until CLT FC Council takes proper and just actions against the Carolina Hooliganz group.

We demand justice and will pursue all legal avenues until justice is served. This is a criminal act of violence and we cannot tolerate it.

The Carolina Hooliganz also shared a statement on social media saying the following:

Carolina Hooliganz StatementWCCB reached out to Charlotte FC but they said they have no comment at this time. No arrests have been made at this time.
