Tenants Announced For New Matthews Business Building

MATTHEWS, N.C. – A long-awaited update about a new but empty building in Matthews at the corner of East John and Trade Streets. It now sits where a community favorite gas station once sat for decades, before it was torn down to build the new space, which has been empty since construction finished.

WCCB has confirmed that Harriet’s Hamburgers and Fly Kid Fly coffee have signed on to lease spaces in the building. The property management is looking for a third tenant, and hopes the new businesses will be open by the end of the year.
