Suspect Arrested After Police Found Over 150 Grams Of Drugs
CHARLOTTE, N.C โ An out-of-state fugitive was arrested in west Charlotte after police say they found approximately 161 grams of drugs in the suspectโs vehicle.
Deonte Davis, 32, was arrested on Tuesday, April 16th. He had a fugitive warrant out of Georgia.
Police said they responded to Lucky Penny Street near Freedom Drive after receiving a call about an occupied suspicious vehicle. There, officers located Davisโ vehicle.
Officials said they searched the vehicle and found the following:
- 9mm handgun
- 7 grams of suspected heroin
- 124 grams of suspected crack
- 15 grams of suspected cocaine
- 7 grams of suspected meth
- 8 grams of suspected marijuana
- $1,500 in cash
Davis is facing multiple drug trafficking offenses along with charges for maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance and possessing a firearm by a convicted felon.
