STATESVILLE, N.C. – Statesville Police are investigating a homicide after a man was shot and killed early Sunday morning.
At around 12:25 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 600 block of Stewart Court in regards to a victim with a gunshot wound.
Police said they found one person inside the home with a gunshot wound.
The victim was identified as 52-year-old Richard Pledger. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
