COLUMBIA, S.C. – According to a news release, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged the following people with animal fighting and baiting on April 20, 2024:

- LaCharles Beatty, 32
- Eddrick Twitty, 44
- Howard Cockrell, 27
- Carl Brown, 23
- Eric Todd, 35
- Kevin Pickett, 36
- Daryl Bowman, 29
- Kareem Witherspoon, 48
- Glenn Housel, 51
- Patrick Heard, 45
- Kareem Lann, 25
- Lataruis Robinson, 42
The release states that two dogs were rescued from a fight on April 20 in Richland County, as well as finding multiple firearms and over $84,000 in cash at the scene.
The release also says that the dogs were transported to an emergency veterinarian for treatment.
This is an active and ongoing investigation.
