National Hurricane Center Monitoring Area In The Atlantic

The first name of the 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season list is Alberto

The National Hurricane Center is monitoring an area of low pressure in the eastern central Atlantic ocean. Thankfully, this is not a threat to the United States.

NHC is giving this area a 10% chance of tropical formation, but with this system entering an area of high wind shear, development is not likely.

Hurricane season officially begins on Junes 1st.
