MCBEE, S.C. – One person died following a fatal car crash on Thursday afternoon in Chesterfield County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
It happened around 6:29 p.m. on Thursday, April 25th on SC 151 near Spraught Lane.
Police said a 1996 Volvo tractor trailer and a 1994 Chevrolet pickup truck were traveling south on SC 151. The Volvo vehicle attempted to make a right turn when it was struck by the Chevrolet vehicle.
The Chevrolet driver died on-scene as a result of the crash. There were no other passengers in the vehicle.
The driver of the Volvo was the sole occupant and was not injured.
This crash is still under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
