Talk, Truth Tea: Wyn Starks Discusses Sophomore Album & Prince

CHARLOTTE, N.C.– Wyn Starks is already well-known for his 2022 appearance on America’s Got Talent and his Black Is Golden album, with songs like “Who I Am” garnering 11.5 million YouTube views and charting #14 on the Billboard charts. The Curb Records signee’s journey began in Minneapolis, where he grew up with his mother and siblings. He listened to a wide variety of music, from the gospel harmonies of artists like Yolanda Adams and The Clark Sisters to Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. Starks then moved to Dallas, where a viral video of him singing caught the attention of producer and songwriter Fred Williams, who invited Starks to Nashville to work on music together.
