CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Former first-round pick Rashaad Penny is expected to sign with the Carolina Panthers after their rookie minicamp, according to ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler.
Penny is coming off of a forgettable season with the Philadelphia Eagles where he rushed 11 times for 33 yards in three games. He will be joining a crowded backfield with Miles Sanders, Chubba Hubbard and rookie Jonathon Brooks.
The former Seattle Seahawk has rushed for 1,951 yards and 13 touchdowns in his six-year career.
