Homicide Investigation Underway In West Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A homicide investigation is underway after a man was shot and killed at a gas station in west Charlotte on Saturday night.

It happened around 10 p.m. Saturday at the Shop N Go convenience store off Remount Road near West Boulevard.

Police located a victim with a gunshot wound. Medic pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

The victim was later identified as 29-year-old Octavis Houston.

An active investigation is underway. Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to call 704-432-TIPS and speak with a homicide detective.
