Deputies: Three Arrested In Burke Co. For Narcotics
MORGANTON, N.C. – Three individuals have been arrested after fentanyl and methamphetamine were found at a residence in Morganton, according to a news release.
The release states that the Narcotics Division with the Burke County Sheriff’s Office received a search warrant of a residence on Walker Road after receiving information regarding the trafficking of narcotics.
32-year-old Echo Camp, 34-year-old Cody Ramseur and 41-year-old Cary Hurt were found at the residence during the search warrant and taken into custody, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Deputies say that Camp was found in possession of fentanyl and Ramseur and Hurt were found in possession of methamphetamine.
The release also claims that a .22 semi-automatic pistol, 33 grams of fentanyl and paraphernalia related to fentanyl were also found at the residence.
Camp had an outstanding warrant for the possession of a firearm by a felon and was charged on the scene with firearm by felon, tafficking sch II, PWISD sch II, main dwelling CS and possession sch II. Ramseur and Hurt were charged with possession of sch II controlled substance.
The estimated lethal dose of fentanyl is roughly 2 milligrams. Camp was found in possession of more than 33,000 mg, which could have the potential to kill 16,500 people.
