Drier Days Ahead

Outside of a few showers on Sunday, rain chances plummet over the next four days.

Showers and storms are making themselves at home once again this Saturday evening after an active workweek. The good news: rain chances take a tumble over the next several days ahead. Widespread showers and storms will slowly fade away overnight, but mostly cloudy skies will greet us Sunday morning as lows dip into the 50s and lower 60s. A few patches of drizzle or even a pop-up storm may carry through the morning into the afternoon, but most spots along and north of I-85 will remain dry – even getting in on some sunshine later in the day. Despite the return of brighter skies, highs will struggle to get out of the 60s and 70s to close out the weekend thanks to winds out of the northeast.

Stunning days are ahead to kick off the workweek. Mostly sunny skies carry into Monday afternoon as temperatures top out close to 80° in the Piedmont and Foothills. Highs only climb as we head deeper into the week. Unfortunately, humidity levels will also rise ahead of a weak rainmaking system arriving on Thursday. Despite increasing storm chances, temperatures will likely soar well into the 80s for the final two days of the workweek.
