Missing Person Found Dead In Alleged Drowning Incident At Mountain Island Lake

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. – One person died from an alleged drowning incident at Mountain Island Lake on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Huntersville Fire Department.

Units from CMPD, Huntersville Fire, Mount Holly Fire and Charlotte Fire were called to the lake in an attempt to locate a missing person.

Rescue crews recover the missing person’s body around 9 p.m. 

The missing person was identified as 45-year-old Williams Medina. He was pronounced dead from an alleged drowning, according to the incident report.
