School Threat Investigation Results In Arrest Of 19-year-Old At North Charlotte High School

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A 19-year-old was arrested after being found in possession of a loaded rifle on the campus of Julius L. Chambers High School.

Officers received a threat that prompted a lockdown at Julius L, Chambers and two others schools near by around 11:15 a.m. Officers say when they responded to canvass the area they located a 19-year-old man who found to be in possession of a rifle. The subject was unrelated to the original call for service.

The man was taken into custody and charged with possession of a firearm on educationa;p property and possession of a firearm with obliterated/altered serial number.

CMPD strongly urges parents and caretakers – do not bring weapons on campus or have them in your vehicle when you are picking up your child or dependent.
