Colorado Man And 32 Cows Struck And Killed By Lightning
Colorado has the third highest lightning deaths behind Florida and Texas.
JACKSON COUNTY, COLORODA — The first known lightning death of 2024 occurred over the weekend. A 51-year-old man was struck and killed in Jackson County, Colorado on Saturday as he was feeding hay to cattle. The man and other members of the family had been branding calves prior to the strike.
The lightning strike also killed 32 cows and calves. Colorado has the third highest lightning deaths behind Florida and Texas.
